(Web) Surf Safer!

Safer Internet Day (SID) is organised by Insafe in February of each year to promote safer and more responsible use of online technology and mobile phones, especially among children and young people across the world. This year, the theme for the day is 'Online rights and responsibilities', to encourage everyone to 'Connect with respect'.
Check out the award winning (acceptable use!) poster created by Nicole from the UK,

and then watch this video for even more tips about how to protect yourself online and how to use the resources you find there ethically and responsibly!

  1. I think the picture is very helpful and truthful. You should always stay safe on the internet and never talk to people you don't know or you can end up in some serious trouble ( or it just might be your parents trying to see how responsible you are). Also don;t cyber bully because you don't know how much it can effect someone.

  7. Hi,
I really thought that Nicole's poster was great. I especially thought that using @ instead of A was so smart. Over all, you nailed that blog.

  9. The safer internet day is a really smart way to teach kids about the unsafe qualities of the internet. The video also makes a good point on if you would not do it in the real world then why do it on the internet.
